There were games in the past that were the same way. I would hope and expect the following games to be more competitive but there are no guarantees.

We will know more at the end of the day and I’d expect the next round to be better.

We are two years removed from a 60 point game in the national championship. It happens.

The beauty of CFP is that it isn’t professional sports.

They are trying to make it something it isn’t.

CFP is about a couple of teams rising to the cream of the crop and facing off in a BCS title game. Not a bunch of paid assassins changing teams every year.

But it’s the same thing only expanded to include more teams.

If we actually wanted better games, we'd have the lower seed host.

They're the lower seed for a reason. If you want the game closer you'd give them home field. If you want the team who was better during the season to have home field... they're going to run the lower seed out of town a lot.

Honestly, one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

That would be a better option to have the games be competitive. At least in theory. I understand that they’re wanting to award the better team but at the same time you get these types of games.

I'm not saying we should do that.

The point of the seeds and home field isn't to create good games. It's to reward the better teams.

Both of the playoff games so far would have been closer if the losing team had home field. We don't WANT them to be closer. We want the teams who did better during the season to have an easier time.

I think we all get why the setup is the way it is. With that being said people complaining about the competitiveness of the games should understand that.

However we are seeing topic after topic about the games aren’t competitive. Regardless of the sport some teams get in when people feel that someone else should.

If a team wins their conference championship they get in. Even if they have a losing record. Basketball does it and I think baseball does it also.

When it’s all said and done it should be the top 4 seeded teams will be playing at the end of the end.
