Who actually deserved to be in the playoffs? Bama, Ole Miss or USCe.

The obvious answer is Ole Miss. I am happy it wasn’t them but they had the best resume. USCe’s argument was silly manufactured drama caused by talking heads on TV trying to draw eyeballs

When you can't get stops on 4th and longs to end games you deserve to be left out.

Do I think we are one of the 12 best rosters/teams in the country? No doubt.

We won a bunch of 1 score games last year. We reverted back to the mean this year. No one to blame but ourselves.

Your resume is better than ours. If you had the Script A logo you would be in.

You could definitely make a case for Ole Miss.
USCe lost to both Ole Miss and Alabama. They all had the same record. On what planet does USCe deserve to be ranked ahead of either?
If head-to-head isn't the first tie-breaker then what's the point of playing the games?

100% agree. There are rare cases when a team loses on a fluke and they have a better resume. But you cannot lose to both teams in front of you and think you have a shot at leaping them both

I’m just offended that somehow old mess is still ranked behind Miami it defies logic

An objective Bammer. That's refreshing.

I don't see the basis for this continued debate. It's been settled. Everyone is simply beating a dead horse at this stage in the process.

I've been saying it from the get-go. SC is not getting-in .... never was getting in.

The only reason to do it was to make Miami the line that is definitely out. Miami and all teams behind them except the Big12 champ have already been eliminated

I am not debating the future. It is already set. Miami down is out except for the Big12 champ. I am simply saying Ole Miss deserved the spot. Now had USCe had Bama’s script A they would’ve still been left out. The resume is bad.

The obvious answer is Ole Miss.

Ole Miss obviously had the worst loss (Kentucky at home) and Alabama has more ranked wins (UGA/USC/Missouri compared to UGA/USC). Of the two other losses, I think Florida/Oklahoma is somewhat of a push, and LSU is a better loss than Vandy. Alabama also blew out LSU, who Ole Miss lost to. While Ole Miss beat Oklahoma, who blew out Alabama. Both had bad losses the second to last week of the season. It's honestly splitting hairs for me between the two.

Agreed.

I also agree with AA. Miami should be ranked below both USCe and Ole Miss. My hope is that Miami will play one or the other in a bowl game (Gator?)

And you can't get beat by Vandy and OU.... and think you deserve to get in.

We don’t deserve to be in. No one from 6-15 deserves to be in. This is the new football

when you have three losses, you're going to have warts and arguments against you getting in. There's no "right" answer as to which criteria should be valued more than another. Is it best wins? Is it worst losses? Is it head to head? Is it record against common opponents? Is it how you finished the season? Is it SOS? There's so many different factors and everyone is going to have an opinion. However, when you have three losses and put yourself on the bubble by not winning enough games to remove any argument, you really don't have room to complain who gets in or left out. I don't think anyone with 3 losses "deserves" anything. But someone is going to get a bid and other teams aren't.

Bama should not be in consideration, the Vandy and OU losses are just too much. Ole Miss is borderline, so my vote is USC, they dont have any terrible losses, are playing better down the stretch which should matter.

Notre Dame lost to Northern Illinois. They were never dropped far enough after that loss. And they leap-frogged their way back up too easily.

Tell me you still think sports pundits give their real opinions and don’t just try to stir up controversy without telling me.

USC lost to Alabama. So you want to put USC in front of a team they lost to?
