Not counting this past weekend since they won't be updated until tomorrow:

Using F+ ratings:

Ole Miss is 1-0 vs top10 teams, Illinois is 0-2

Ole Miss is 2-1 vs top20 teams, Illinois is 0-2

Ole Miss is 3-2 vs top30 teams, Illinois is 0-2

Meaning aside from the 2 teams Bert is proud of losing to, they didn't play anything near a ranked team.

vs top 40 teams, Illinois is 3-3, meaning they are 3-1 vs teams ranked between 30 and 40.

Ole Miss is also 3-3 at this point, adding in 1 more loss.

In the end, Illinois is a team that should be ranked about 25-30 and Ole Miss is a team that should be ranked around 10-15.

I would bet real money that Tom Fornelli wrote that for Bert.

You must not have gotten the memo that “Bert put Kiffin in his place”….all the typical Neanderthal’s pounced, but anyone with a brain knows Illinois isn’t as good as Ole Miss, South Carolina, or Alabama…

Maybe one of those SEC teams will play Illinois in a bowl game.
