The Vandy game felt like the 2000 game versus Southern Miss

Bama lost 21-0 in a night game at Legion Field. The game was earlier in the season and USM was actually ranked for that one, as was Bama. The stakes were different, and it was certainly a different era of Alabama Football back then.
However, watching both games I got the feeling early on that it just wasn’t going to be our night. USM scored on offense, defense (pick six), and a special teams fumble recovery for a TD. Bama D played well for all but one series, but the offense couldn’t do anything, so sort of a flip from the Vandy game.
Our players in both of these games were chippy from the start. They seemed to be giving lackluster effort. They were out hit and out hustled. The coaches were out coached and had no answers.
So yesterday was the biggest WTF game since September 2000. May another 24 years pass before we witness another shitshow like that again.

It's crazy that I was at both of these games, but last night, this Bama team didn't quit in the 4th. That bama of 00, team quit in that southern Miss game. It could have been worst than 21-0.

Pick 6 was on a trick play.

That was the last game I attended at Legion Field. Not a good memory.

I was at the 2000 game, best seats I have ever had for a Bama game to this day. Agree the team quit that night.
Was headed to Nashville, but in-laws needed help over in GA/SC. Glad that it didn’t seem like they quit in the stadium. It looked bad on TV, especially when the State Trooper went to talk to Milroe.
I think DeBoer now realizes that the offense will need to score 42-45 points per game to have a shot at a title. Not sure what fixes the defense 5 games in. RW#2 should’ve never been in on PR, easy fix there.
That said, I feel better than in 2000, but that loss to Vandy was hideous.
