Daughter and I will add OK to our list of SEC stadiums visited Nov 23. Staying at OKC Embassy Suites coming in Friday and leaving Sunday. Daughterwork schedule doesn’t allow more time.
Would like suggestions for getting to Norman a parking.
Have been to OK City for work ,but that was years ago.
Looking forward to the game. I assume it will liklibe cold.
Thanks for the help and allowing me to post.

Welcome, and glad to hear you're coming to the game! We had a lot of fun with the Tide fans who showed up in 2003. Great people.
All the 'secret' back road, low-traffic paths from OKC to Norman are no longer secret. Others may have better ideas but IMO, your two best options:
- I35 southbound to HWY 9 East, then turn left on Jenkins. Park at the Lloyd Noble center's massive parking lot, and either walk the 1.5-ish miles to the stadium or take the shuttle.
- I35 southbound to Main Street heading east, then turn right on Webster and drive towards campus, have some cash handy and pay to park in one of the parking lots or yards you'll see.
It's Oklahoma. Could be bitter cold; could be 78 degrees. Plan on it being windy either way.

Thank you! My metal knee and the other that needs to be, says no to the 1.5 mile walk so will probably take the shuttle. Will it pick up after the game in the same place it drops off?
We will do some research before and depending on game time would like to come early to look around.
After this we have Texas and The Swamp left. It was way to hot to go to Austin in 2022 and we haven’t played UF there very often in the past 20 years and when we have something always kept us from going.
I am old enough (barely) to remember Lee Roy Jordan’s play in the 1963 Orange Bowl, one of our only 2 wins against the Sooners.
Thanks again for the info!

Yes it should pick up where it drops off. From the OU site:
Public bus shuttles ($5 round trip) from Lloyd Noble Center's north parking lot to the stadium are available starting three-and-a-half hours before kickoff and run for an hour after the game concludes.
Holy crap - I had to research Lee Roy:
Damn!

quote:
Official statistics from the game credited Jordan with 31 tackles — 15 solo stops and 16 assists — plus a forced fumble. Oklahoma ran just 60 offensive plays in the Orange Bowl, which means Jordan was credited with a tackle or an assist on more than half of them.
Damn!

He was something else. Played linebacker for Dallas.
Coach Bryant said he was one of the finest football players the world has ever seen.

I-35 prol best bet. It can be a cluster so give yourself at least an hour to get to the stadium from downtown OKC. The shuttles from Loyd Noble are pretty efficient and timely. Never been late to a game waiting on a bus. Now waiting in the beer line is a different story. I hope they have expedited them.
