Greetings and welcome to the SEC.
61 years old and have watched a lot of football in my life. I think OU has a case for RBU since the 70's. I've seen Greg Pruitt, Joe Washington, Kenny King, David Overstreet and all the other greats through the years.
Billy Sims is my favorite OU rb of all time. Silky smooth, power and speed. AP gets the nod for the younger folk, and they wouldn't be wrong. The biggest what if, is Marcus Dupree. I believe he was the most talented rb to ever step foot in Norman. What a specimen. Pruitt averaged a whopping 9.4 yards per carry in 1971.
OU has two rb's on the all name team in Elvis Peacock and Buster Rhymes. Through the years, there has been an amazing amount of OU rb's in the NFL. OU has a case for RBU imo, especially if we're talking longevity.
Curious to see who most of this OU forum thinks is the best OU rb of all time. Welcome and I'm looking forward to our game Baton Rouge.

Demarco Murray and Q were pretty good as well. It makes sense that we had good running backs during Switzer's run - it surprises me that after Leach was OC we still had good runners coming out of Norman.

Interesting you have Barn, 3rd. OU imo is far and away RBU. The Sooners keep churning them out. Nebraska had some good backs in the 70's but they weren't able to sustain as long as OU.

Thanks for the welcome...tons of greats from the oklahoma backfired to pick from...that being said, one of my favorite players I've ever watched play has to be honey badger...one of the most electrifying players I've ever seen play.

Since you are a long time Sooner fan I find it strange you use AP instead of what all Sooners use, AD.

He's a LSU fan first & foremost. I don't find it strange calling him AP, being a fan or observer from afar because about 70% of CFB analysts and color commentators called him AP...
