Did they pull the plug too early last night?

We played our game with Kentucky at 10 pm. Made it a little rough to get to church the next morning, but I powered through.
Was it raining so bad, and was the forecast so conclusive, that calling the game that early was justified?
Discussions on TexAgs seem to indicate that it cleared up enough to play by about 8:30.

You do realize the only team hurt by this was this morning's winner?
Our pitching staff is rested and either team we play tonight will be hurting for pitching? Wind is predicted to be blowing out tonight. We will be starting fresh hitters and whoever we play will have a pitching staff sucking wind.

you also have to think about the fans as well, you don't want to put fans outside or inside the stadium with threat of inclement weather

Fully aware that today’s schedule only benefits us (if it holds).
Just screwed up my work/watching schedule. Had planned to be back in hotel room to watch last night, but I ended up saying at the office until 9:30.

Probably some discussion with the coaches as well.
This is a different situation than Florida vs A&M. In that game the winner had a day off before playing its next game. In this case, the winner has to play the next day.
Likely came down to do you want to play potentially until 2am and then play tomorrow night or just play two tomorrow.
