Just last night I watched a NBA second round playoff game where SGA, a MVP candidate, was being guarded by PJ Washington, a starter. It dawned on me that these guys were teammates at UK. That same UK team actually had 7-8 NBA players on it.

Then I read this thread and was reminded of all the transfers UK has had recently. UK just had an all-american in Reeves. Before that was a unanimous NCAA national player of the year with Oscar. Along with that was an all-sec transfer in Wheeler. The list goes on and on.

Despite all these great freshman and all these great transfer players, UK fans were still ready to run Cal out of town.

But Arkansas fans still try and trash talk Kentucky fans.

Look, you’ll win some games and have some great players. No one has argued otherwise. Kentucky was just done with Cal’s best being not that good enough. If you all are fine with, it then have at it.

I want to say it's hope, but I think some of these guys think they got the 2010 Cal and not the 2020 Cal.

Cal can recruit. Coaching is his weakness. Of course,we keep saying this and they think it will be different somehow.

Haha. Not good enough? His run at UK was better than average over the history of the program. Holy shite Kentucky fans drink up the koolaid the media. I’m not even a Hog fan that’s going to guarantee basketball success in Cal here, but the level of mental gymnastics being done at Kentucky to make themselves feel like this is what they wanted is off the frickin charts
