I don't think so....Texas has NEVER played a schedule, week in and out, the likes of what they will face going forward. I know, I know, anyone outside the SEC fails to comprehend what difference it makes playing down teams like Florida and Vandy BUT even the dregs of the SEC have HUGE linemen and Lightning quick skill players 2 deep. Kansas and Texas Tech DO NOT. Not even close. It takes a toll week in and week out. No one is suggesting that SEC talent is infinitely more athletic than that found in the Big 12...its the same thing that Big 10 teams used to bitch about when someone mentioned SEC speed. You do not have to be 25% bigger and faster, 2% will do the trick over the course of a season....and Texas and Oklahoma have NEVER seen the athleticism 2 and 3 deep week in and week out that is in the SEC today. It takes a toll.

This season may prove otherwise but SEC coaching and prep is far better than the teams that OU and Texas are used to playing week in and week out....that makes a helluva difference. Sark is trending toward being an elite SEC Head Coach....time will tell but UGA, LSU, Alabama even with a new coach, Auburn, UT, UK, Ole Miss, Missouri and even South Carolina have EXCELLENT coaching staffs well versed in prepping teams to play in the SEC. Sark is aware but even he will be drinking from a fire hose for a few seasons....its a different game week in and week out.
