No surprise.
And STEM is the overarching reason.
Crosswalk that with universities’ top majors, and I’m surprised the male: female ratio isn’t more unbalanced.


Traditional male-heavy majors
Engineering
Mathematics
Physics
Computer Science


Traditional female-heavy majors
Nursing
Liberal Arts and Humanities
Education
Psychology
