I've got no problem with it
I've got great southern white friends from the west of Chattanooga area of Bama/GA/Tenner, and the only people in the world almost who can understand them talk is others from Bama/GA/Tenner

Agree Harry. Gullah and mountain speech sound a lot alike. And west of Chatt would still fall into to overriding dialect of Smoky Mountain English (so would north BAMMER). And fwiw there”s a ton of variation within that dialect.
