Honestly, I think that's pretty small potatoes, and hardly the best argument TAMU has for "it's Texas's fault."

That belongs to Deloss apparently keeping Byrne/Bowtie in the dark while negotiating with the PAC. Which always sounded funny to me because somehow Colorado knew Baylor was angling to take their place, which is why they immediately went to the PAC. But somehow TAMU was blindsided by this.

The relationship between leadership at both schools was probably quite frayed. Nebraska and Colorado were gone. TAMU had nothing to lose by pursuing the SEC, the conference you wanted to join all along.
