It is degrees of separation, moron.

With an EV and limited charging stations, they can go to a micro level and shut down individuals they feel are problematic.


If they were to shut off electricity to a refinery, that means they are punishing whole regions if not the whole of the country depending on the refinery in question.

If Exxon BR gets shut down, it affects more than the BR area because it is one of the ten largest refineries in the world.

Think of the consequences of shutting down a refinery vs shutting off specific individuals access to EV Chargers

A lot of large plants have their own cogen. They aren’t pulling electricity off the electricity grid.
