And no one can decide on the first year. He has plenty of talent to work with for sure. But they aren’t his players. You have to give the guy several years and understand there is only one Nick Saban.

Coach DeBoer just took a downtrodden 4-win Washington team and went 25-3 in 2 seasons and a playoff berth. Along the way, Coach DeBoer beat Dan Lanning and Oregon 3 times, Sarkisian and the Shorthorns 2 times, and Lincoln Riley and USC 2 times. Overall, Coach Deboer sits at 104-12 in his career. Kirby is getting the push because of success and recruiting. I like our coaches Xs and Os on gameday.

This BAMA team is loaded with elite talent and what they lack in a couple of positions in depth this spring's magic portal will solve that. The center that started for Washington and transferred to BAMA can't beat out James Brockermeyer. James has waited his turn and he has been 1st team since day one. So, I'm sure he is on the way out again. With Proctor returning the OL will be better than last season.

Just to say, we have a ton of elite talent that will get on the field earlier because BAMA is now playing schemes that let them simplify, understand, and play fast. And yes, that is completely different from the last 17 years. BAMA is already up and running.

He may succeed but the first year won't be pretty. Also he had a generational QB in Phenix at QB to work with. That can always make any coach look elite.

There may be an elite qb but Milroe isn't elite. If Alabama wins 10 regular season games with Milroe, then the future is very bright with DeBoer.
