John McEnroe and James Blake played college tennis historically.
There are currently 15 players in the top 100 who played college tennis. List of them
And before you say that’s not many, tennis is a more international sport so it not US based like wrestling is.
Also there are several schools with both men’s tennis and wrestling. Like Cornell who is great in wrestling and top 30 in men’s tennis.

OK, I expected five, and maybe one American. I think there’s still just a couple Americans on there though. Certainly it’s getting better, but do people watch?
I knew a guy who was top at Kentucky 50 years ago and I knew things were better then.
25 years ago, it was just kids who lived at one of the Florida academies and went pro ASAP who even had a chance. I knew a couple guys who went down there for a year and their game IQs went up about 100x. Still a title9 waste compared to wrestling or hockey though.
