Perhaps part of the reason I feel strongly about it is because of active duty in the military. I have friends that died for this country and the flag. And to disrespect that ...

It's kind of like not saying the pledge of allegiance in school anymore because of this "woke" society. I loathe what this new generation has become with the pronouns, I don't have to work, don't stand for the anthem, etc.


It's sad to see the direction that things are headed

Active duty and sitting at my desk as I type this. Most AD don't care if you do or don't stand - it's blown out of proportion the amount of people that pretend to care. It's mostly people who haven't served a day that get the most upset. 90% of the baws in my shop say the same thing: "Cool, that's their right. Would be cooler if they stood, but it doesn't bother me"

I'm retired military and I spent 20+ years defending the rights of ungrateful people to shite all over my values. It comes with the territory.
