Can you give us some detailed demographics on these? Which political parties control them (blue or red), for how long, etc.

I'm not sure about the other cities, but Dallas is blue and has been for decades now. Of course the city just 30 miles to the west (Fort Worth) is purplish red and not only not near bankruptcy, but growing faster than Dallas.

New Orleans hasn't had a republican governor since 1872. Current mayor Latoya "the destroya" Cantrell is one of the worst mayors of any city in the country and certainly one of New Orleans' all-time worst.
