No, the thing that has done the most toward ruining college football is greed all right, but it's the greed of the NCAA, the schools and the coaches. It's likely that NIL would have never come along if the powers that be had adopted a fair and equitable payment system for the players, following the model of the NFL. Instead, the powers kicked the can down the road and resisted a fair system at every turn. In other words, they waited for the courts to decide, and voila, here's the NIL.
