For decades this is all I wanted but we didn't even try it for 1 year. I'm convinced this is the goldilocks number

I think 12 is the right number, but only because we have to weed out the bullshite TCUs of the world in the first round to narrow it to down to the teams who truly deserve to be there and compete. If we could legitimately have the BEST teams then 8 would be the number, but we never will because the system will likely always pander to then have nots and never wills.

how does 14 even work
top 4 byes
10 teams play 5 winners advance the math doesn't mat

8 teams get bye

6 play 3 winners

..

6 teams get a bye

8 teams play 4 winners
the math doesn't math

12 works , top 4 get byes
other 8 play . winners play teams with bye

14 is a bad number for a playoff

They weren’t weeded out in the first round in a 4 team playoff against the #2 team in the country. Magically the #8 or #10 team would have?

Why do yall act like they beat Massachusetts in the first game instead of undefeated #2 Michigan
