The difference between a guy that runs a 4.4 and a 4.5 is pretty negligible in coverage. If a wide receiver with 4.4 speed were to run a fly pattern against a cb with 4.5 speed, there would be less than 2 feet of separation at 40 yards. Agility and reaction time is much more important.
