I sense that the Gumps will now be like a church school we played when I was in high school. Everytime you blocked them or tackled them they would say,"Bless you brother!".

We beat them 62-0. Prepare yourselves Gumps!

I'm don't subscribe to it myself (obviously), but coincidentally the most successful coaches in Alabama state high school history have taken this approach.

Of those still coaching, a few have multiple blue maps and elite talent playing in both the SEC and the NFL.

Maybe DeBoer will do well or maybe he won't, but historically in the South, having discipline is not synonymous with weakness.
