I'm surprised that Brian Kelly isn't on the list.
Why is Day on the list and not Brian Kelly?

BK has the second highest winning percentage in the conference.

He doesn't really have to prove anything in 2024 to keep his job.

Day may get fired if he loses to Michigan again.

I thought the gold standard nowadays at LSU is that each newly hired HC must win a championship within 5 years.
LSU fans have been saying Kelly will win a championship within 5 years. So far it is ticking away right now. He gets 2 more years to get it done. Isn't that being why Kelly got scared and fired all the defensive coaches and now he just had to replace the OC that left for where he used to be the HC there and now it is do or die the next three years. Maybe he might be given another year to make it 4 more years to get it done or else he gets fired.

He just had a heisman winner.

Winning championships is what LSU expects from each HC nowadays. So far Kelly hasn't done that, and each year goes by without a championship will force Kelly to resign or be fired.

He won 9 games with a Heisman winning QB. Never won a title starting on 3rd base with ND. Don’t be mad at the truth.

Crazy how you have to leave at the shite tier defense

Isn't that similar to what Kelly did at Notre Dame? He will find a way to mess it up and still end up winning 8 to 11 games a year without a championship.

Brian Kelly has already proven that he has a ceiling. Everybody else hasn’t.

Apt.

But to me, Heupel should be on that list.

He already showed that he can perform at a high level with a great QB (Hooker).

Next year he will have a great quarterback again. He needs to prove he can get to and surpass that 2022 level again. If he doesn't win big during Nico's tenure (at least to the level of getting to the SEC Championship), then his long-term viability will suspect, at least for me.

It's "show-me" time for Heupel. The next 2-3 years will define his tenure at Tennessee.

Having Billy as our coach makes it less stressful when we lose. We now have low expectations and we meet them. Any win is now like winning a playoff game. Even if we beat Samford, it will be a big win.

Oh. You think Kiffin can win a championship at a school that hasn’t since the 60s? While also thinking Brian Kelly can’t at a school where Les Miles and Ole Miss worst coach Ed O won one?

Now that you can’t launder money through a childrens hospital it’s going to be harder.

Kelly lost his trigger man as well. Got no more killers on the team.

3 years. Both of their previous morons won it in year three. So if BK can't get it done this year, and he can't, then he's officially worse than Eddie and Leslie. Yikes.
