I bounced off of Sekiro. Not because it was too hard, but I just wasn't enjoying the combat style. I'll try again at some point.

It's ok to admit you couldn't "git gud" sheesh! Just kidding, it's for sure a different type of style. I did enjoy it but not sure it was as memorable as the others that I've played.

I also just remembered that FromSoft made Armored Core 6. Is that similar to these types of games? As in, you have to memorize a boss's move set?

I am scrub

The different style was the issue. Nothing wrong with it by any objective measure, but at the time, I just wasn’t in a place that I wanted to learn something completely new. It felt unfamiliar and foreign, and that just wasn’t what I was looking for. I’ll try it again at some point.

I’ll defer to others on AC. I haven’t picked it up.

The boss fights are fun and there’s memorization of movesets to an extent but it’s not really very much like any of the other Miyazaki-led games.

AC is more about customizing and building out your AC unit to take on different missions. There’s tons of builds and you’ll find one that works for you and steamroll through most of the game. I thought it was a lot of fun. Just don’t go into it expecting the same experience
