I think this is equal parts talent and the sheer quantity of a lot of draft eligible seniors. And while I agree they had a ton of talent, I wouldn't call it elite. McCarthy is the only sure fire first round pick, and he likely wont even go top 10.

He's atrocious. Any GM that drafts him round 1 should be summarily fired. His accuracy is terrible. In the NFL, successful QBs get the ball out, have elite downfield placement and protect the football. McCarthy has trouble hitting hitches.
He just happened to play with a stacked team, a great RB and the weakest schedule for a national champion since 1984 BYU.
