Seriously, what kind of a stupid jackass spends 7 years in college, and gets no degree? Then washes out of the league in less than a full season.

The NCAA allows a student to go back to school to get a degree and it counts as "graduated". So if a student is in school for 3 years, leaves for the NFL but gets a degree within the 8 year time frame, it counts toward that year's cohort.

The fact that, theoretically, a student athlete must maintain a minimum grade point avg and a minimum number of hours, makes his 7 or 8 years in school with no degree at all hard to understand.
