Straight pay for play to get him back for another year.

Yes, like all of the rest of them.

He is signed to play for us. We are paying him. He is getting around what he could've gotten for one year as a second round pick. He came back to go in the first round with less competition at QB in that draft (supposedly). First round money, especially if he's top ten, is a much greater pay day. It was a 50/50 decision and he chose to come back. You guys are straight paying Nico. And he likely would stay if he were in the same situation (provided he's good enough).

I think there is a difference you guys in Tennessee can't seem to understand here.

That’s a death penalty violation.

1 year guys that are tall statues are no longer getting second round contracts.

He’s still an immobile QB wanting to go to a league that doesn’t value immobile QBs. He’s likely the 5th or 6th QB taken at best barring him becoming a dual threat.

Was he looking to transfer or something?

The university of Tennessee is not, was not, and is prohibited from paying for players. He is capitalizing on his marketability to cash in on national and regional NIL deals.

True dual threat QB with better measurables than Beck. If you honestly believe Beck is a second round guy today then you will believe Nico is a number one overall this time next year. Nico is raw and underweight at the beginning of his college journey.
