An outsider looking in point of view:

Tier 1 Elite most years

ugag: They're on autopilot and as long as they're willing to spend the money that wont change. To hell with georgia!!!

Alabama: Maybe a small transition period but will continue to win big and be in the mix every year. I think they hired a great coach to replace Saban.

LSU: Will continue to be what they've been to this point under Kelly. 9-3 to 10-2 type team most years. He wont get them back to the top but they always have tons of talent.

Texas: They will be good at least for the next few years. Sark has recruited well and is a pretty good coach so they should be in this tier for right now.

2nd Tier: Teams knocking at the door

Ole Miss: They're close to taking the next step and being a consistent top tier team. They need to level up a little more in recruiting (especially in the trenches) and build up the kind of elite depth that the tier 1 schools always have.

Missouri: I include them here not just because they were good this year but they appear to have invested heavily in NIL which could level them up in time. Coaching staff seems pretty good.

Oklahoma: I hesitate to put them here but they've been historically at least this good but I think they are about to go through some tough times coming into the SEC. Venables was a great D coordinator at Clemson. I'm not sold yet on him being a great head coach at Oklahoma.

Tier 3 The pack that in a given year can put it all together and make a run at the top but can't sustain it

Tennessee: Their struggles the last 20 years have been well documented. I think Heupel is a pretty good coach but I don't think they will be able to stack up the type of recruiting classes year in and year out like they did in the 90's and early 2000's.

Florida: What a shite show. The most disappointing SEC program. As a Tech fan the enemy of my enemy is my friend but what the frick Florida? Get your shite together!!! Once Napier is fired this fall maybe they'll finally make a good hire and move back to tier 1. (someone alert theCaw and his third person rants about Disney Gators or some shite)

Auburn: See Tennessee and Florida above. You're a mix of the two to a certain degree. Freeze will probably start winning more soon however you guys are so corrupt and fricked up that you never can sustain anything. A big year every so often is bound to happen but how about beating ugag more than once in what seems like every 20 years.

A&M: What else is there to say that hasn't been said a million times on this board regarding A&M? You've spent a shitload of money on players and coaches and have nothing to show for it. The team will probably be better coached with Elko but will he be able to get enough talent? Tons of players transferred out. Are you guys still paying top dollar for players? A big year here and there is not out of the question.

Kentucky: Had some nice seasons the last few years. I don't think they ever get to tier 2 at least on a consistent basis. One big season where a playoff birth is within reach isn't out of the question but this is probably the ceiling with Stoops. Basketball will always be king in Lexington.

Tier 4: Programs that probably wont ever get over the hump and be consistent winners.

Arkansas: The best chance of this group to move up if they get their shite together. Pittman is probably gone after this year. They need to do a much better job of spending their Walmart money.

USCe: Great fan support. Holtz and Spurrier had some success there but they've never gotten to the top of the conference even when they had all-time greats as coaches. Beamer won't get them there either.

Miss St: The Pirate passing away was a horrible blow to the program. Hiring your weirdo defensive coordinator and then allowing him to throw away a successful offensive scheme for whatever in the frick that was you ran last year was the height of stupidity. You ruined one of the best QB's you've ever had on campus and wrecked the program in the process. Historically tier 2 is the ceiling but can definitely get to tier 3 with the right coach as the Pirate showed.

Vandy Tier

Vandy: Vandy will probably never amount to anything in football because they don't invest in it the way the rest of the conference does. Baseball is the total opposite of their football program. Basketball should be as well if they gave a shite. If you spent as much time, money and effort into improving your football program as you do when it comes to the funding of programs that seek to butcher young kids then just maybe you'll be able to turn things around and become somewhat respectable.
