I think a feeler may have been put out but he was never offered the job. Byrne wasnt gonna pay some stupid high buyout.

Also, this is an old "trick" that Sexton's used to get his "notified" clients a salary bump for years. Remember when all the talk was about Saban and Texas?...remember what took place with Saban's "deal" with Alabama shortly after that?
There has been and will be "raises" because of this and Mr. Sexton!
