But on the other hand, recruiting in the SEC is like no other conference and had to have been a huge culture shock for him. If he does leave for Michigan, I think it would be because he’s been so overwhelmed and bit off more than he could chew coming to the SEC. It’s a lot and so much different even in the last couple of years now with NIL. I think a lot of these older coaches are going to retire and/or look for easier paths. If Saban were still around, I wouldn’t have been the least bit shocked seeing Kelly leave for Michigan.

Michigan has had more historical success than LSU. I think LSU is the better job based on the last 20 years or so. Harbaugh is getting ready to leave. LSU has more institutional commitment to football right now.

I think 10-15 years will be a LONG career as a HC for the foreseeable future. I would almost bet that no current coach is still coaching 15 years from now....its too much.
