Mostly agree all you say.
But the thing is, it’s not the sport MAY not exist; CFB as we knew it is ALREADY DEAD.

It’s not a question of “if it goes south” - that’s happening right before our eyes.

Coach Saban was an Incredible STABILIZING Force for our program, but as soon as he stepped away, the chaos filled the void.

Though none of us knew it at the time, this was the inevitable results of events dating to the 1970s. Once the “Genie” of TV money escaped from the “Bottle” of oppressive Cartel (NZAA) control, we were on the path to the anarchy we see today.
