After some serious reflection I have to admit football under Saban eventually turned into a fan experience that was more rewarding than it was enjoyable.
2007 was a very bad time for me and Saban’s hiring was the lone bright spot at the time. I recall telling people that if we can just play for the SEC championship every 2-3 years how happy I would be.
Fast forward to the 2012 season, and I recall my expectations basically changing to something unattainable, winning every game, and every play, with zero mistakes. My game experiences were basically boredom because the game was already over before the end of the half, or panic because the game wasn’t already over before the end of the half.
I’m so pumped to see this new coach and his staff bring in a new era. I think he is going to suprise some folks and I think it’s going to be an awesome experience.
