I’ve always thought I’d be excited for the eventual change and fresh start. And I am.

There are a few things I didn’t consider along the way that are making it a bit difficult, though.

I just don’t know how the sport got itself in a position where a team’s players are auctioned off while they can’t also fill roster spots.

These guys can transfer in April. They could transfer in December and some of January.

What entity wants entire programs crippled in the name of transferring? They have plenty opportunities to transfer if they don’t like the new staff.

What league wants the potential for their biggest brands to be wrecked overnight? And for what?

College football is now similar to college basketball in that each year you start over with new players. Problem is one has 15 and the other 85.

We're more likely to have YoYo seasons going forward
