All the way back in the 1970's, a bammer QB brought over his brand new red Corvette to show my sister. He got it for signing. A few years later, a dirt poor kid from down the road signed with bammer. A 924 suddenly appeared at their little shack, which also got fancy landscaping, paint, and other improvements. Later, his brother signed and a BMW appeared there.

A year or two later, I got to AU and found Bo with no car at all, and a collection of typical student cars with a handful of decent but not ostentatious cars in the Sewell Hall parking lot.
