I like consolidating the Braves MiLB footprint but I'm still surprised.
Very nice stadium they have over there. I remember good attendance when they first moved there from Greenville.
I'm sure they'll drop the Braves nickname after the relocation.

And I wish we'd have the AAA team somewhere outside of GA. Not too far; still what would be historically considered Braves Country like Charlotte, Nashville, Durham, Jacksonville, Norfolk, etc...
Rehab assignments can be made at any of the other teams. Half of team's games are on the road, so I'd you have to make an emergency call up, there's still a good chance the player will have to fly from Salt Lake or wherever the Braves AAA team is playing to Atlanta or to Philadelphia, Miami, etc...
And it isn't like you can't get a direct flight to Atlanta from any city that is large enough to host a AAA team.
I know quite a few Braves fans from Virginia who grew up Braves fans prior to the Expos moving to DC and because of the Richmond Braves. I know we don't have TBS putting every game in front of a national audience any longer, but I'd like to see us expanding the regional footprint.
The expansion of that footprint is important since the next two MLB expansion candidates are likely Nashville and NC.
