Counting the SEC Championship game and playing 4 games (3 with a bye), the roster will become even more important than ever.
Along with injuries during the long season, fan fatigue will compete with NFL playoffs.
The CFB national playoffs will begin on December 20, 2024, and end on January 20, 2025. Let that sink in.

why? when does the first round of playoffs start?
I think I will enjoy an extra few weeks.

so basically the top 4 seeds will get almost 3 weeks off or more. I was hoping for maybe a week off and trhen the playoffs begin and each round would be a week later.

They should start a week earlier in December but I guess if they did no one would watch the other bowl games

The CFB season always seems so short, this will be a welcome change imo.
You're right in that depth will be key..whichever team is most complete near the end wins it all. I'm fine with that.
