If we had beaten Bama we would've been playing FSU in the semi.
So it's really do you think we could've beaten Michigan, assuming Michigan beats Washington in the Rose Bowl.
I'm not saying we could roll them, but we would've caused them problems. The false narrative that they would've run on us like crazy is out there. No one with a conventional run game like they have has really done that well vs. us. Mizzou was pretty good. But no one has just blown us off the ball like some are saying.
When you lose a game everyone thought you would win, false narratives are created. Greg M for instance says Georgia got dominated by Bama's OL. That's true for a couple of drives. But Bama averaged less than three yards a rush and we didn't have nearly as many negative plays on sacks, bad snaps as Michigan got. Bama had four drives from the start of the second half to well into the fourth that went for a total of less than 50 yards. We lost because we blew coverage a couple of times and Bama didn't. We also fumbled the ball and gave them three points and missed a makable FG. We had way more mistakes than they did and it's hard to win games against that kind of talent if you are making mistakes and they are not.

I agree. I think Georgia could've defintely beaten Michigan. It would've been a tough game. I think Michigan's experience would've given them the edge. I also don't know how Beck would've done against Michigan's defense. He did not have a great game against Bama and was fortunate that Bama's DBs dropped a few potential picks. The kid definitely has talent but he needs the experience in big game situations against talented and experienced teams.

That’s what I’m saying. We had the number one DL in terms of sacks and TFL. But we were no where close to the run stuffers you guys were. As good as our DL was doing, I was like, “how tf is Georgia doing better.”
