Roquan Smith

when he left I would have 100% agreed no questions asked. But how blessed are we that just a few years later we got Nakobe? Both guys were essentially the same player; smart as absolute shite and knew what the offense was going to do ahead of time, fast as hell, instinctual, a leader, and simply did not miss tackles. I'd have trouble picking one over another.

Agree to disagree. And it isn't close.

We designed the 2017 defense around Roquan. Essentially, we fed him. And he ate well.

Since then, we haven't "fed" anyone. We are a no name defense. Our best athletes spike to open up opportunities for the guy next to him. We zone blitz and put 280 pound defensive ends into shallow zones or man on the running back.

It was different for Ro. Watch the Georgia Tech game again and tell me that the defense didn't specifically feature him to be the playmaker.
