In our defense, Jimbo had more than enough time there. If we still look this bad this time next year it will be a big issue

The main problem is Freeze couldn't beat NMSU! How could he not be prepared to beat a weak NMSU? I am also looking at what he did at Liberty. He wasn't that impressive in his last season there as the HC. There is a recurring coaching misstep from Freeze at those three schools.

The team was 8-0 and had just beaten Arkansas for their 100th homecoming. They were doing very well for the season. And then word leaked that Auburn was pursuing him as head coach and we went on a four game regular season losing streak and finished with a bowl loss. Finished 8-5. Roster then had a 50% turnover.

And yet here we are at 13-0, the CUSA champions (first year in conference play) and in the Fiesta Bowl.

We had a good team. We suffered from poor leadership at the end of the 2022 season.

No it really isn’t.

Talent should’ve been enough to beat them, although they weren’t a weak team.

Are you looking at the team he built at Liberty playing Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl?
I’m not putting too much stock into year one. I do hope he takes over play calling next year though.
