But I think our nil would be better if we had a coach the fans believed in

Billy had some street cred when he arrived as a program builder who pushed for NIL and recruiting to be whats needed to compete with the big dogs.

He still didnt get it. I dont see a HC changing it until heads roll up top.

They did the same to Mac, once he put them on blast, all they needed was a reason to get him out. Goofy bastard deserved what he got, but i give him credit that he tried to get the top brass to open their checkbooks

He kinda did but not really
Yeah what he did in the sun belt was great especially by Louisiana Lafayette standards but he wasn’t really a big dog hire

He was seen as an unproven guy who did well in the g5

If he went 8-5 with a bowl win year 1 and at least had a winning record thisbyear people would have more faith in him but 2 losing seasons in a row with only a background of sun belt success to point to doesn’t move the needle to me

But you are right those at top are doing every thing they can to slow down the HC by being cheap etc

However a true big dog coach can overcome it like spurrier and Meyer.

I know those don’t grow on trees but they are out there and Napier is not one of them
