The guy that started WoolyAl after Tidesports' board sold out had a connection with ShaggyBevo.
It went tits up as well after the shenanigans of a poster on this board.
That was a cool fan site board, Bama fan or no.
Great balance of smart trolling and ball busting that stayed healthy until it wasn't without losing site of the fact that you could have all of the above and still talk actual football and sports.

It’s been a minute, but I thought when all the shite went down with blacklab and Shaggy is when we sorta lost WoolyAl. He pretty much transferred it over to a few of us Bama fans but we all had real jobs and couldn’t keep the site going. Plus it kinda got sabotaged at that point by a few of the posters like you mentioned.

Shaggy Bevo and Landthieves were ran on a set of servers that were partly owned by someone else. Business partners on this deal.
The owner of Shaggy took money out of their shared account claiming he had earned some profit. Disagreement ensued and went to court where Shaggy owner lost and had to turn over all the servers.
When I was creating Dirtburglars I had reached out multiple times but got no response to buy the name Landthieves.
Landthieves was great, Shaggy was a fun read now I don’t get on either very often.

I think I may have been the only poster to ever get banned on WoollyAl, this was after the boring guy, who I never got along with, took over though. Woolly was dead at this point and some of us were just picking at the carrion.

Can't have real friends without enemies!
This brings back memories. At one time, WoollyAl was so out of control and so fun it really was one of the best college football sports message boards that ever existed, if even for a short moment in time.
For reference, there was a board on the site with full nudity allowed and that was the tame side of the site.
Here are a handful of the posters that hung out there.
