Ed O had Aranda as his defensive coordinator and also had players on that defense that are starting on Sundays right now.
Kelly has House . He hired him so it’s ultimately his fault that House is here.

Thus my point. O may not have been a great coach by himself but he made good hires to cover that and built a complete team. Kelly seems to follow his ND model of only having good offense but lacking defense which makes it hard to win consistently in the SEC. Even a decent defense this year and LSU is in the playoffs instead of Alabama
