No one said they were against expansion. They were against expanding before 2024.

That's the point. Expand this year and they're in. They were opposed to that.

They weren't necessarily against early expansion.

There was a lot of distrust, especially towards the SEC and B1G, and they couldn't get the various issues ironed out.

It isn't that the ACC was simply against expanding to a 12 team playoff in 2023.
