I think you’re correct that we have less of the “Raisin Canes” level folks but how did we end up with such nice facilities for every men’s sport, ridiculously stupid buyouts, paying an idiot 6mil a year to end up seeing our team watching Polar Express during halftime of a home game blowout loss? We have bad culture and bad leadership and decision-making. The money is there to compete. No it’s not $76mil buyout level, but it’s a lot more than fricking Ole Miss and programs like that. We have a bunch of wealthy idiots in a “too many cooks in the kitchen” situation with football. Probably never going to change other than the money will not come in like it used to since we perennially suck. Don’t even get me started on how cheap we’ve been with basketball and baseball. Great, winning approach. #Integrity. We’ve fully succumbed to our self-created curse of being losers.
