I generally agree with you. However, the tech and aesthetics upgrades they’ve made over the last several years have also upgraded the atmosphere.
From a start to finish standpoint, I haven’t been to any stadium in the country that is as consistently loud and energetic as what we get in Tuscaloosa for games that finish after dark. The stadium design itself limits the noise factor (seats are too far away from the field), but the environment itself is better than it’s ever been, IMO.
That’s not a statement you would have ever heard me make just a few years ago. Things have changed for the better.
The LSU & Tennessee games were the best I’ve ever seen in that stadium.
