many of the rules are for safety - targeting is definitely one..

it introduces the concept of exposed defenseless position wherein they cant be brutalized while defenseless. Players should not have to risk serious injury by dirty players breaking rules just to play the game.

Nick Saban should be banned from NCAA football for life - and any of his players banned for life if they continue their dangerous cheating.

I believe it to be a very good rule.

Not sure what to do about bama #77 running and diving into opposing players on the ground pointlessly like Saturday night. They had a #74 a coupla years ago coached to do the same thing.
