You wouldn’t see a problem with LSU getting left out of the playoffs despite beating UGA in the championship?
In what sport does a conference winner get left out of the post season?
Are you telling me 2019 Alabama doesn’t potentially win it all if they get in a 12 team playoff?
College football has the least entertaining post season in all of sports. And if you think are larger post season dilutes the regular season you are wrong.
Look at college basketball. Plenty of exciting games in the regular season that have NET ranking implications

With two losses? No. I could fully understand it.

No. I am telling you that when you bring 8 additional teams to the playoffs you will probably have at least 4 blowout games in the course of the playoffs. While it might have happened, I don't remember a single time in which the playoffs did not feature at least one blowout...and that is with 4 teams. Do you think adding worse teams will make them more competitive?
quote:So, you think Alabama, LSU and Georgia are going to sweat the playoffs when they are expanded to 12 teams? OSU and Michigan? Who cares if you lose a game or two? The # 10,11 and 12 ranked teams has 3,3 and 4 losses last year. The # 11 and 12 teams had 3 and 4 losses two years ago.

Lose 4 games? no problem. You still go to the playoffs.
quote:So you are glued to hockey, basketball and baseball early rounds? When half the teams make the playoffs? "Everybody gets a trophy!" Hooray.
