Garrett Wilson has 39 catches on 68 targets for 469 yards.
Drake London has 37 catches on 57 targets for 438 yards.
Remind me again how Wilson is vastly better than London. He has 11 more targets with 2 more catches and 31 more yards.Their stats are almost identical.
Wilson is 6' 192. London 6'4 213. Either way the Falcons the year before had the worst wr core in all the nfl. Taking a top wr in the draft is not a bad pick. The reason Georgia fans got upset was they didn't take Davis. Well why would you do that with the guys you already had at that position. That would have been a dumb pick. London was not. Those same people thought Robinson was a dumb pick. I just think they don't know much about the sport.

Really in the 22 draft I would have went skill position. In hindsight even at the time I liked London, Wilson and Olave. So any of the 3 would have been fine but I'm still taking a wr there. In the second round I would have went Georgia and taken Pickens and Cook. Either way they did a good job building g the defense in the off-season. As far as rbs go. You need atleast 2 or 3 sharing carries. To say you don't take 1 in round 1 is wrong. A running game and good backs are very important. You draft for need.

Who did they have at the position? Grady Jarrett is good, but he's more of an undersized interior pass rusher. The defensive line sucked at that time and would still benefit from having Davis around to shut down opposing run games.

This is how I feel about anyone who thinks taking a RB in the top 10 was a good pick. Smart teams don't waste resources like this. The Falcons run game in their Super Bowl year consisted of Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman. Those were 3rd and 4th round picks.

When the Rams made their Super Bowl run in 2018, Todd Gurley was on the bench with injured knees. They signed CJ Anderson off the street and did not skip a beat in production.
