I expect the annual game to turn incredibly toxic right away.

That first game is gonna be nuts. I think y’all take a step forward and we’ll take a step back, but both teams should be pretty good next year.

I say put it on Thanksgiving and go head to head with the NFL. It will be a ratings monster.

I don't think most people realize just how big that game will be.

Prior to ending it was the 3rd most played rivalry in CFB. Virtually every tradition at both schools were based around the other and both schools have a lot of traditions. A&M has continued to grow significantly since we last played and now has over 70k students and 38k student seats. At the same time the two schools which are 90 miles apart have over 1 million living alumni and most of them live within driving distance. Texas now also has over 30 million people and CS is right in the middle of the main population centers. Both schools have obscenely large Endowments and have limitless athletic budgets where they just spend money on stuff just for shits and giggles.

Now you will have 13 years of pent up frustration on both sides building up for that game all waiting to be released like the Hoover Dam busting open.

I've got 6 Season tickets and as much as I want to be there I am seriously considering selling those tickets and paying for My son's college education.
