The fact is that the two schools miss each other but won’t admit it. At Texas losing to OU doesn’t get you canned. Losing to A&M does. There is an entire thread on TexAgs for horn tears, and it is an annual tradition. It is renewed every year.
I expect the annual game to turn incredibly toxic right away. The way it should be. As much as I don’t like LSU, they aren’t natural rivals.

As much as I love/hate the OU rivalry, it’s just not the same as the A&M rivalry. Every Thanksgiving you could guarantee a family fight over that game.

That first game is gonna be nuts. I think y’all take a step forward and we’ll take a step back, but both teams should be pretty good next year.
I say put it on Thanksgiving and go head to head with the NFL. It will be a ratings monster.
