Clemson vs X-teams for 6-7 home games does not add a total of 60 million a year to the TV contract. That's what needs to get added for teams in the SEC to break even when you include what teams make now and the conference share.

Good matchups leading to a bigger TV deal is an idea... but the network is only getting 6-7 more games per team added, and those games have to bring in a LOT of money for the current SEC teams to break even. I don't think a small school in the upstate of South Carolina, regardless of recent success, is going to make networks pay enough to be worth adding them.
